Digital Signatures Video Script
Hello, and welcome to the AgWare ClickFORMS digital signatures tutorial video. In this video I will show you how to setup your digital signature, how to affix it to a report, and also how to remove it from a report.
The first thing that you’ll want to do is scan your signature as a jpg image to your computer. The signature image should be closely cropped with as little white space around it as possible. You can do this either in Microsoft Office paint, Windows Snipping Tool, or in Snagit. You’ll want to make sure that your signature is saved in a spot where you can easily find it. You’ll also want to make sure that you have an appraiser certification page in your report, or the process won’t work. If you opened a report using one of the software templates, chances are there’s already an appraiser certification page in the report.
Now we’re ready to set up our digital signature. In ClickFORMS, go to the tools tab of the ribbon. You will see a signatures button in the proofing section – click on it. When you open this window it will say there are no signature options and you need to set one up. Click on the setup button. This will bring up a signature setup window. Click on the load button. This will open another window that will allow you to browse your computer files to find your signature. Once you find your signature image, select it and click open. This will place the image in the setup window. You can drag your signature around to position it in the correct location. You’ll want the bottom of your signature to be on the solid signature line, and the top of the signature to be just beneath the dotted line. You can adjust the height of your signature by dragging the scale button on the left side. Once you get your signature positioned correctly, click okay. Now click affix.
Click on the appraiser certification page and scroll all the way to the bottom. You should now see your signature on the signature line of the page. If you need to reposition the signature or adjust the size, simply click the signatures button in the proofing section of the tools tab of the ribbon. Then click setup. Now you can make the necessary changes. You will have to remove the current signature and then affix it again for the changes to appear. To remove a signature, click on the signatures button and click remove. This will only remove your signature from the report, not from ClickFORMS. If you need to remove your signature from ClickFORMS for any reason, click on the signatures button, then click on the setup button, and click clear.
To recap, you can add your signature to any certification page whether it’s an appraiser certification page, or a dual certification page. You can also add your signature to the signed letter forms. A good thing to note is that when you affix a signature, ALL pages in the report that have an appraiser signature block will be “signed”.
